About Ms. Aguirre
In March 2016, Ms. Aguirre made the decision to continue her education, by doing so it created a spark within her that fueled her desire to "equip, inspire and empower" the teachers and students of Pomoma Unified School District.
Ms. Aguirre
Ms. Aguirre's primary passion in life is her 9-year-old daughter, Cierra. Ms. Aguirre always strives to make a positive impact on her daughter's life and the lives of the students and teachers she works with. When she decided to take on the challenge of obtaining her MA in EdTech she did so with her daughter's blessing. Knowing it may take time away from each other, Ms. Aguirre and Cierra make sure every moment they spend together is worthwhile, whether it's going to the beach, the zoo, reading a book together or watching a movie, they do their best to make memories together. Ms. Aguirre's History
Ms. Aguirre began teaching for PUSD in August 2006, at Marshall Middle School. She taught 6-8th grade ELA, 6th/8th grade history various ELD courses, ASB, AVID and AVID Excel. In early 2016, she decided to return to college and pursue a Master's in Education focusing on Educational Technology. Through this EdTech Program she learned to leverage technology in the classroom, which opened opportunity to change career paths and head down a different road, integrating technology into all classes in PUSD.
Ms. Aguirre's 10 Sites
As a Teacher Specialist in Educational Technology, Ms. Aguirre is responsible for serving 10 sites within Pomona Unified School District. The site needs vary, and with the help of other teacher specialists as well as site Technology Teacher Leads (TTLs) Ms. Aguirre is helping PUSD students excel as 21st Century Learners and become a Future Ready district.
